About
h2e Power Systems, founded in 2011 and incubated at IIT Bombay, is a trailblazing cleantech company dedicated to delivering end-to-end solutions for clean energy generation. With operations spanning India, Germany, Switzerland, and the United States, h2e is setting new benchmarks in fuel cell and green hydrogen technologies.
The company was co-founded by social entrepreneur Siddharth R. Mayur, technologist Amarnath Chakradeo, along with Suresh Sharma and Bhavana S. Mayur. Drawing on their combined expertise in technology, finance, and sustainability, the team envisioned a future powered by clean, reliable, and affordable energy accessible to all.
h2e’s core innovations center around Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs) and Solid Oxide Electrolyser Cells (SOECs). These advanced systems generate electricity efficiently through fuel cells or produce green hydrogen from water or waste using electrolysers. Their modular SOFC units, capable of delivering scalable power from kilowatt to megawatt levels, cater to a diverse set of applications—from homes and data centers to telecom towers and off-grid agricultural setups.
A standout initiative includes converting organic and plastic waste into usable hydrogen—effectively transforming a liability into eco-friendly energy. The company also made strides in green hydrogen mobility by developing India’s first hydrogen fuel-cell-powered three-wheeler in partnership with a Canadian firm, aiming to introduce zero-emission options for urban transport.
h2e has also expanded its global footprint through the acquisition of Switzerland’s Hexis AG and the establishment of a German subsidiary, mPower GmbH, enhancing its manufacturing and engineering capabilities in fuel cell stacks and ceramic components.
In India, the company’s pilot facility in Pune produces SOFC power generators and electrolysers with an annual capacity of around 2 MW, with plans underway for a much larger 100 MW manufacturing facility.
Driven by a vision of energy independence and sustainability, h2e Power Systems integrates cutting-edge fuel cell technology with green hydrogen production—advancing the future of clean, decentralized power and mobility.
